Originally founded in 1946, Stiller Kim, PC is one of California’s oldest firms devoted exclusively to corporate immigration law.  This boutique firm has developed a national reputation for its expertise on employment based immigration cases, particularly H and  L nonimmigrant visas, as well as labor certifications; the Firm represents industry leaders throughout the United States.  Our partners, associates and staff strive to provide an unsurpassed level of personalized service and communication.  The Firm has developed Human Resources training programs for hiring managers, human resources and foreign born workers.

Steven Stiller joined the firm founded by his father, Norman Stiller, in 1979 and assumed a managing partner role together with Moira Buxbaum in 1990 in Stiller + Buxbaum, the predecessor firm of Stiller Kim, PC.  Mr. Stiller is an alumnus of the University of California at Berkeley and received his J.D. from Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco.  He was a member of the first group of attorneys to receive certification as a specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law in 1989.  Mr. Stiller has lectured widely, including programs conducted for the Bar Association of San Francisco, the Barrister’s Club and the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association.  A dual citizen of Switzerland and the United States, he is an attache to the Swiss Consulate representing legal interests of Swiss citizens in the western region of the U.S.  Mr. Stiller has retired from the practice of law.

Jean Kim joined Stiller + Buxbaum in 2004 and became a Partner in 2013 and is now the managing partner.  Mr. Kim obtained his J.D. degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1999 and was admitted to the California state bar the same year.  He is also admitted in Hawaii and the District of Columbia.  He received his BA and MA from the University of California, Berkeley.  He practiced for 3 years in Hawaii in business immigration and e-business, helping corporate clients establish a U.S. presence and receiving the PacificNews.Net 2002 Hawaii’s Top High Technology Leaders Award.  He also served as the President of the Korean American Bar Association Hawaii for two years, organizing and hosting the 2002 International Association of Korean Lawyers annual conference.  He has been on the Board of the Korean American Bar Association of Northern California since 2004, serving as Director and Secretary and on the Board of the KABANC Foundation.  He has also served as Treasurer of the International Association of Korean Lawyers from 2007 to 2014 and is the current Treasurer of the IAKL Foundation.  He is a Lifetime Member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley.  He is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese and conversational in Korean.
